Bytedance and the U.S. Government Sought to Avoid Selling TikTok

知情人士称，抖音海外版TikTok的母公司字节跳动正在同美国政府磋商，寻求方法可能让TikTok免于出售所有美国业务。在中国更新出口技术限制后，TikTok业务出售给微软的难度增加，避免出售的这种选择开始显得越来越有可能。其他很多选择仍然在磋商考虑之列，形势在变化，TikTok仍有可能出售业务。

一名知情者称，即使并非全部出售在美业务，TikTok最终也可能有部分业务重组。TikTok可能选择于一家美国科技企业合作，让这个合作方帮助实现数据安全，该企业可能持有TikTok少数股份。

在磋商中，美国政府官员表达的一大担忧是TikTok数据的安全。特朗普曾重申，希望让一家美国公司收购TikTok的业务。目前尚不清楚有没有替代方法能打消他的担忧。

People familiar with the matter said,Bytedance,TikTok's parent company,is in talks with the US government to find a way to save TikTok from selling all of its US operations.The option of avoiding a TikTok sale to Microsoft has become more difficult since China updated its export technology restrictions.A number of other options are still being discussed,the situation is changing and TikTok could still sell the business.

One person familiar with the matter said TikTok could eventually restructure some of its U.S. operations,if not all of them.TikTok,which could take a minority stake in TikTok,could choose to partner with a US technology company to help secure the data.

One of the major concerns expressed by U.S. government officials during the negotiations was the security of TikTok's data.Mr Trump has reiterated his desire for an American company to buy TikTok's operations.It is unclear whether there are alternatives to allay his concerns.
